The Cathedral, Torvet and historical city centre

Haderslev is a vibrant city. Every street corner has its own exciting story.

Stroll through the cobblestoned streets and enjoy the beautiful, well-preserved architecture. Despite being devastated by fire in 1627 and 1759, the old quarter of the city with the Cathedral and square are well preserved. Some of the houses here were built in the 1500s. To get the best of your visit to the old quarter, book a guided tour. The guide knows all about Haderslev’s lost Renaissance castle, Hansborg and the architect Von Oberberg and shows you the 200-year-old Ridehuset stables. The building is now a restaurant. You can enjoy dinner within its historical walls.
